Living Beyond Silent Violence: Why Lived Experience Is My Greatest Qualification

There are things I’ve lived through that no piece of paper could ever teach me.

Yes, I have certifications. Yes, I have years of professional development, training, and spiritual formation. But none of those will ever hold the raw power — or the depth of understanding — that my lived experience has forged in me.

I am a woman who has lived:
⚔️ Through domestic violence in a system fractured and rigged against survivors
⚔️ Through complex mental illnesses that threatened to unravel me
⚔️ Through grief, trauma, stigma, and the slow, brutal work of healing in a society held together with silent violence

The world will not often name these things — and that’s exactly the point.
The system would rather you swallow your pain.
Numb yourself into submission.
Forget who you were before the violence.

But here’s what I know in my bones:
We were never meant to stay broken.

I do this work — Spiritual Direction, shadow work, integration — because I have lived what I now guide others through.

I know what it is to feel shattered beyond repair.
I know the wars that happen in your own mind and body, long after the external violence stops.
I know what it is to try and mother through it. To show up in life while holding invisible wounds.

And I also know what it is to rise.
To integrate.
To become something stronger, not despite it all — but through it all.

This work is not theoretical to me.
It is lived. It is embodied.
And it’s why I believe I am uniquely qualified to walk alongside others doing this work — not from a place of hierarchy, but from hard-won wisdom.

If you are moving through life after trauma, after domestic violence, through complex mental health journeys... if you are exhausted by systems that don’t see you, don’t support you, and don’t know how to hold your complexity — I want you to know this:

There is another way.
You are not alone.
You are not beyond hope, or healing, or integration.

When you are ready to work with someone who sees it all — and won’t flinch — my space is open.
Reach out.
Come as you are.
We will do this work, together.
